I can support your web delivery whether you are a startup at the very first stage of realising a new business idea, or a mature business that wants to build on your success.
Here I've selected a number of recent and ongoing projects that I feel best describe the type and range of work I undertake, plus some of the key projects I've worked on looking back.

Ashtanga Yoga needed a bright, creative looking site, with a hint of the spiritual, one that could be updated and controlled by those running it with as little fuss as possible.
The site was designed with an eye on the organic. I also sourced images for the content. In addition I organised their hosting and domain requirements.

Green Print were looking for a bold but simple site to best show off their stunning portfolio of work and give just enough space for them to get their message across.
The site had to be easily maintained and updated in-house, so was built using Wordpress and a number of associated modules to handle their image galleries.

Paul Barton is an internationally renowned cinematographer and cameraman, and was looking for a simply site that would best present his showreel.
In addition I set up the streaming video needed to present his showreel, as well as organising the conversion of his video files to web ready formats.
The site had to be built rapidly so was initially made flat, but Paul is so pleased with it he has now asked me to convert it to Wordpress for phase 2, so he can manage it completely himself.

Artists Project Earth is a rapidly growing charity that brings together the likes of Coldplay, U2, Bob Dylan, Gorillaz, Arctic Monkeys and many others in support of hundreds of climate change and disaster recovery related charities worldwide.
APE already had a design and fixed site in place, and I was brought in to convert that site into one they could edit themselves, using Drupal.
Once the first stage was complete and they were happily managing content directly, I then put in place a complete E-commerce solution for them to sell items directly to customers, including the option to provide online downloads of tracks.
I worked with Thanksdarling.com for over four years. I was brought on board to help bring some order to a recent, troubled update of their site that had been outsourced overseas.
I took control of their hosting, e-commerce and site development needs and managed the delivery of the then stalled site, further developing it until I implemented a complete redesign of the store.
The site was managed from a desktop CMS which I maintained. I also created Flash content and managed their email marketing.
Built in .NET with SQL Server.
Rose Morris Musical instruments - www.rosemorris.com - is one of the most recognised music shops in the UK. I was asked to take control of their web store as they were finding their existing agency too inflexible.
After a review of their web delivery I set up and configured a new server, bug-fixed their existing site, then delivered a complete redesign of the store in 2008. The web store database was updated daily from their shop database (Microsoft POS, SQL Server).
I also managed Rose Morris's email marketing, from design to deployment, as well as creating in-store Flash/video files that took content live from the web store database for display on screens around the shop.
Built with PHP, MySQL, Flash, XML.
I was hired by Fotowars.com after their first choice agency had simply failed to deliver, and I set about designing and coding the site from scratch. The site used a combination of web and server technologies to enable children to create personalised game cards from their own photos.
Ready to print PDF files of card packs were sent live to the printers and the cards mailed to the buyer the following day.
Built with PHP, MySQL & Flash (On Linux)
Arc Capital and Income hired me to redesign a suite of four sites - each specific to one arm of their business but linked to their peers - both to improve the branding of the sites and to impose some clarity on a range of similar yet disparate offerings.
In addition they needed full, web-based control of content and structure across the sites, with flexible permission levels and shared, single sign-on access for registered users across multiple sites/domains.
Built with Drupal.
Below is a snippet of earlier projects that I either worked on as part of a team or delivered independently.

TUGC is typical of the sort of project I thrive on. A startup company with a limited budget and the need to deliver quickly, TUGC and their partners Cereus turned to me to provide a range of bespoke and bought in services under a single domain.

Our work for Watson Associates shows how skills and flexibility developed in the corporate sector can provide simple, functional and well crafted design to companies that require only a minimal web presence and have a budget to match.

Preferred International looked to me to overhaul the design of their site in line with current branding. I worked closely with the company and their various suppliers to ensure a smooth delivery.
